We are focused on building community in small, family groups, camper groups have many choices in planning their week.  In addition, individuals will be able to choose some of their own activities each day.

  • Individual Electives:

Some possible individual electives are a variety of craft activities, a variety of nature activities, games and sports, skits/drama for worship, newspaper, service projects, international days (led by our international staff members), blacksmith, missionary visits, and more.  Check our website (www.judsoncollinscenter.org) for updates to this list as our planning continues.

  • Where is my favorite program?

Some of you will remember that in previous years, Judson Collins has offered camps such as Reality TP, Sports, Archery, Crafts, Waterworks, Sampler, etc.  These popular programs have not disappeared; you just don’t have to sign up for them in advance anymore.  In 2009, any camper signed up for Trekkers or Explorers is eligible to participate in these activities when they are offered at camp.  In addition, all Explorers will have the opportunity to go horseback riding. Your favorite programs have not gone away; we’ve just found a way for more campers to enjoy them.

  • Optional Add-Ons

Other popular programs such as Horse, Farm, Adventure, etc. have been made into optional  “Add-On” tracks that can enhance your week at camp.  For an additional cost, you have the option to sign up for Add-On tracks, depending on your age, including Farm, Equestrian, Adventure, Night Owl, Ranch, and Cyclo-Cross.  If you choose an Add-On, that will become your individual elective for your camp week.

Campers will register for groups by the grade they will enter in the fall of 2010.  Some of the age groups overlap.  That is intentional. When the age groups overlap, read the descriptions and choose the group that is right for your camper.  All groups will select from among the options for their own age group and those younger.

The camp fee includes a T-shirt and a DVD of your camp experience. Registration for all events begins at 3 pm on Sunday and ends at 3 pm on Friday unless otherwise noted.
